static north is a music project exploring rich sound in the balance between order and chaos. The first, self-titled record was completed and released in 2007. A second record is currently in production.

Controlled feedback, generated noise and shimmering guitar swirl, while structured basslines and rhythm elements barely contain the chaos. Elements of art-rock, post-rock and ambient electronics filter through the haze.

The name of the project is ambiguous. It references, literally, the idea of noise and broken communication, as well as eluding to the unknown in nature - a stoic, unmoving isolation.
